In a nutshell, a major goal of Noemix is the creation within Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) Public Administrations (PAs) of technical, administrative and economic financial expertise required for successfully realizing the transition toward low emission urban mobility. How? With the endorsement obtained in November from the regional council, Noemix keeps following and implementing its ambitious workplan.
There will be soon a series of meetings and events involving project partners and car operators, chargepoint and energy suppliers, and PA stakeholders.
Since the beginning of the project, many FVG public institutions have expressed interest in Noemix: healthcare organizations, regional county seats, small-medium municipalities and others, among which universities and research centers. They have been collaborating with Noemix experts allowing to carry out a key project analysis: the PA current fleet mapping, a today’s scenario and need snap-shot, which will help to design the future of PA fleets with an innovative perspective.
The preliminary results of this survey, that has been carried out by UniTs and AREA Science Park, were discussed last January 10th during a project meeting in Area Science Park, in Trieste.
Noteworthy from this analysis is the data on the age of the vehicles belonging to PA fleets of interest: above the 50% of all cars are more than 10 years old, and possibly inefficient, costly and polluting. Such a fertile ground to root in Noemix and realize its goals!
