Next December 4th-5th NeMo project (New Mobiliti in Friuli Venezia Giulia) will be presented to regional public administrations (PAs).
Launched in June 2017, NeMo is a four year project that aims to make Friuli Venezia Gliulia a front-running region in Europe in the transition to a low carbon economy.
Funded by EU with a budget € 900,000, NeMo is envisaged to lead by 2020 to a 14million euro investment in public-private partnerships that will give rise to the NOEMIX service.
NOEMIX is an innovative car sharing service for Public Administrations (PAs). It is developed by NeMo (New Mobility in Friuli venzia Giulia), with the support of the European Union’s HORIZON 2020 R&I programme, to lead the transition to a low-carbon economy by reducing urban pollution caused by motor vehicles.
The service will be available by 2019 as a result of a private-public partnership. Thanks to this endeavor, the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia will be first to have replaced a substantial part of its own and of Municipalities’, UTI’s (Unions of municipalities) an PAs’ fleets with electric vehicles.
By aggregating the demands of several PAs, the current model based on car ownership will give way to a centralized mobility-as-a-service scheme managed by private operators.
Along with car-sharing and car-leasing services, and the software required for PA’s mobility management and optimization, NOEMIX package also envisages the placement of chargepoints, as well as the production of electric energy from renewable sources.
