The first lot of electric vehicles and charging infrastructures will be supplied in Autumn 2023.
Four public health entities of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region - ASU GI, ASU FC e AS FO and IRCCS Burlo Garofolo - will receive more than 400 new electric service vehicles. A five-year long-term rental formula will be applied and 134 charging infrastructures will be installed in the area to make sure the vehicles don’t run out of energy.
The contract (worth €12,7 million, VAT excluded) was awarded to the temporary grouping of companies consisting of the group leader Leasys, Hitrac Engineering, and Free2Move eSolutions. The framework agreement with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region was signed at the end of October, while the execution of the individual contracts with the health entities is expected for the end of the year 2022. The supply of the vehicles will begin in Autumn 2023.
"The goal is to create a flexible and interinstitutional car sharing system where vehicles will be allocated to the entitites according to their needs" – Fabio Scoccimarro, Regional Minister for the Environment and Energy (Il Piccolo, November 7th 2022, p.10).
